This was their way of making sure the dinner tab didn’t get massive like it could end up being of it was just a free for all.

I’m not allowed to disclose their name until after the dinner per their request.

OK...I see where I screwed up. I didn't understand the whole hat thing when it was brought up later in the dinner thread. After some push-back I went back and re-read message #1 of the dinner thread and saw that buying a hat was a REQUIREMENT for getting the free dinner. I totally missed that the first time and it all makes sense now. So I deleted all my posts concerning the hat topic and will see you all for pizza on Sunday. Thanks for the phone call that set me straight.

I also didn't realize it was a requirement, but I already have a couple so was considering buying more but want others to get pizza too.
