I’ve been trying to study for the ham license as much as possible but just in case I don’t take my test before the Fest I paid for the GMRS license so I would be legal. I’m now WRKP406.

Can you customize the GMRS callsign? If I recall a HAM Basic you can pay a few bucks and customize/make it unique.

I don’t know why you couldn’t but I haven’t found anything saying you can.

One of the best places I’ve found for stars is the middle of Arches National Park. It’s open 24/7. The wife and I take a few chairs and a bottle of wine, and watch the sunset and the stars come out. It is spectacular.

The full moon seen on a dark, clear, low moisture night can be just about as spectacular as the milky way.
