I bought this to splice into my rope, but found the rope to be multi-layered and low quality (Amazon special). Instead I ordered a new line with the thimble already installed. So you can save some nice coin. It’s been hacked into my line temporarily until I can confirm the replacement will be here before TJ fest (which it should be since it shipped today).

I have a OME rear track bar extension bracket, factory TJ soft top with hardware, TJ factory steps, Dana 30 gasket.

TJ OR LJ --this is one place it matters contrary to Chris? Mine needs to be replaced.

Splice into your winch line instead of using a hook

Very easy to understand once you see someone get their hand sucked through the fairlead by holding onto the hook. Thus the "safety" part.
