Lately my TJ has been making this weird rapid sceeching/squeaking noise whenever I drive it. It sounds like its coming from the rear of the car.
in addition, my automatic transmission has made this rough metallic "creaking" noise when I shift it into drive, reverse(etc). It goes into gear just fine and shifts smooth as butter, but it didn't make this noise before when I initially shift into gear.
I'm taking it to the mechanic for the screeching noise and probably going to get a transmission flush/filter replacement too. Just for peace of mind, this doesn't sound like my trannys on it's way out does it?
