I just got a 2002 TJ with the 4.0 straight 6. Has 282000 miles runs fine except sometimes when it is hot it stalls when I stop. After about 20 minutes it starts and runs great. Read some about vapor lock so I wrapped fuel rail with header wrap. Still does it. Need help. It does have fuel pressure to the fuel rail when it does it.

Have tried cleaning the idle air control module? Base on the miles and no check light this part can get stuck and not trigger a code. You can pull it off and carb clean the gunk build up. The Jeep should idle properly once it comes to a stop. It may be another issue but this is cheap fix and cleaning.
