Torx Bit Set Recommendations

Does anyone have recommendations on a quality torx bit set? I'm tired of snapping the cheap HF ones in my tool cabinet.

Hoping my HF torx 40 holds up for the belt tensioner swap tomorrow.
I have a recessed/flush front axle on my Electra Glide & the least bit of torque on a 7/32" bit snapped right off. They replaced it & all but still frustrating!!!

My suggestion is to break the bolt loose by hand then use a powered ratchet or impact to remove the rest of the way.

Actually came off of there just fine. One thing the 'dry heat' is good for is not rusting everything up. Tensioner was a snap but the gates idler pulley spacer doesn't fit at all. I elaborate on the 'what did u do to your TJ today' thread.

I’m glad it came off for you, I have snap-on torx bit, I have doubles of a few sizes I would break all the time. Hat way I could keep working. I found cracking them loose by hand saved the bit.

Yes I agree. Never fails there's always a newbie one of the Harley forums who just got a new power tool of some type & tries to remove the primary cover T27 bolts. I'm always like NOOOOO!! Either stripped bolts or broken bits.

I just shortened the spacer carefully with a grinder. Been good for the last 5,000mi.

those harley torx bolts are made of soft metal. best to remove/tighten by hand and still be careful with them.

I found a S-K set somewhere years back. Nice quality and they've handled my work with no problems.

This is what I have. Picked it up off of ebay a while ago after breaking and twisting everything else I bought. It's had plenty of abuse and so far no breaks...

For the amount of time I use torx bits I'm not willing to pay the nearly $500 price tag for Snap On. I ended up ordering two sets to experiment with that include:

After the post @TJ Jim made, I looked at Cornwell. They have a truck bed set that ranges from 40 - 55

They also have a regular set that doen't give the size range

That Cornwell set is also sold under Lisle which I buy from my local Carquest so they can hand me new ones whenever I break one.
