Touching up paint and color correction

I want to touch up my paint and have it color corrected. Color corrected is a fancy word for buff job.

My concerns are how a color correction could affect a touch up job? And whether or not i should have the bodyshop do the touch up? Or whether i should use these pens:

My doors are pretty bad. With deep scratches and some tiny dents. And there is left over plastic dye around the flares that needs removed. By buffing it off. As everything else has failed. There is also a fair amount of oxidation on the sides. The paint on my hood has some baked in hair line cracks. But no fixing those. Unless i got it painted or wrapped.

I don't want to do the color correction myself. But i would do the pens for touch up. If it was significantly cheaper.

Any advice?

Well it's a Jeep so with that in mind I would touch it up yourself and then buff it, wax it and then go drink a beer. I'm sure these 'character marks' drive you a bit crazy but unless you get a complete paint job to fix all those things you'll have to find a happy medium. Really it's about protecting the metal underneath more than anything.

Wash it thoroughly , clean the affected areas with alcohol , touch them up the right way , with base and clear, use a razor blade carefully to drag over the touched spot to make it level with the paint , wipe off excess , then clear it then go over the entire Jeep with meguiars ultimate compound , then a quality carnuba wax.

Black is beautiful, and high maintenance.
