I have the check engine light on all the time. It came on when the battery finally gave up as I previously posted. Since my last post I have replaced the Throttle poition sensor, Idle air control valve (cured the cutting out on return to idle problem). And removed and cleaned all plugs and sockets to all sensors and the ecu. My diagnostic tool tells me I have
0123 throttle position sensor switch A is high. I can reset this code successfully and the check engine light goes out but comes straight back on with the same fault code as soon as I start up. Has anyone got any idea where in the wiring to start looking for this fault as this is sensor number 3 and they can't all be faulty.

What TPS did you install, a Mopar or an aftermarket which is notorious for problems?

Also, are you having any issues with the horn in the steering wheel or air bag indicator? A bad clockspring connector in the steering wheel makes the connection to those devices and it can generate electrical noise, which can cause an erroneous TPS error code.

Hi Jerry
The first replacement was crown but the latest is genuine.
Yes I did have the airbag light come on a while ago after the Jeep was stood idle for a few weeks. I put it down to damp and dried it out, I also WD40'd under the dash. After that the airbag light went out. I did read somewhere that if you remove the horn fuse that sometimes stops the unwanted interferance.

What if I don't have clock spring and airbags? My jeep have also airbag light.
