I need to buy a snatch block, and rather than just buying a steel one, I figured I would go with aluminum, since TRE makes an aluminum one here:
https://tacticalrecoveryequipment.com/product/snatch-block-aluminum/

However, I also see that TRE makes a carbon fiber one, though it isn't listed on the TRE website anymore, and it shows as "out of stock" on the 4 Low Parts website:
https://www.4lowparts.com/shop/carbon-fiber-snatch-block/

Has anyone used either of these? Is there an advantage to one versus the other?

Just wondering what the deal is with the carbon fiber snatch block. Was this something that was discontinued for some reason, or just temporarily out of stock?

@mrblaine and @Garza, perhaps one of you knows?

Get the aluminum one. The CF is just temporarily out of stock.
