Did you weld on an extension to your trailer to make it work with your camper overhang?

No I had a 8" extension for the stinger. Just make sure it's a good solid design.

I believe this truck was overweight even before anything was put in the camper. The camper plus water and propane was about 5500 lbs. That is about the payload capacity of base model truck (no 4WD, crewcab, diesel, etc.). As equipped the payload was probably around 5000 lbs. Then add a couple of people, 300 lbs of fuel, everything in the camper, two E-bikes hanging off the back..... well, you get the picture. Still, for it to break in half like that is surprising. Virtually every truck camper on the road these days is overloaded to some extent.
