keep a record with pics and trade them for a new 1 and a good advertisement story when it finally gives out.

The truck did OK. It has 3.55 gears and could use a bit deeper gearing on these CO passes. The transmission temp spiked to 236 for a second before dropping. I pulled Loveland pass in 3rd and it was around 222. From my research, although high, it's still in the safe operating range.
 
U-haul?
i want something short like that trailer, i don't need 20ft, 14ft would be sufficient.
haven't touched that skeleton i picked up yet.

Just step on up to the 6.7 diesel. 3.55 and you can set the cruise on 75 up the IKE and it won’t drop out of 10th, unless someone else slows you down.

On that climb there will always be one 18 wheeler doing 37 mph, passing another 18 wheeler doing 36.5 mph. always.

Yep--for $60/day it was worth a try. I agree, a 14' would be perfect for a tj.

I do regret selling my last 6.7, but had I not sold it I probably wouldn't have a TJ. Someday perhaps....
