I recently bought a steel UCF gas tank skid I'm running into some clearance issues with my track bar. I've pushed the gas tank and skid as far to the back of the jeep as possible to clear the track bar, but its not far enough. Have any of you run into this issue and a way to solve it? I was able to get the skid installed but my track bar is going to run into skid plate when I flex my suspension. As you can see in the picture my track bar will not clear the gas tank strap that comes out the back side of the skid.

Do you have a track bar relocation bracket on your axle?

I have an adjustable track bar but not the bracket... I thought about adding one to fix this issue but I wasn't sure if that would solve it. The clearance issue is on the passenger side and the bracket would raise the track bar on the driver's side. Wouldn't I still run into clearance issues when I flex my suspension off road?

I believe the UCF slid uses the stock bolts? Lots of wiggle room there...can you loosen those bolts and shove the skid plate back?

Hey Mac... Thats part of the problem... The gas tank is running into the back of frame so I can't move it any further back. I called around and did some research though and I think you may be right about the track bar relocation bracket. I'm going to give that a try and see if it fixes the issue. If not, I'll drop the skid plate and make some modifications.

The track bar relo bracket will help. You may also need to move the axle forward. Or you can bend the track bar in a shop press.

I’m not sure of the exact length but I had to lengthen the uppers to get the right pinion angle.

The exact length doesn't matter. What matters is getting them to lengths that put the axle where it needs to be. That might mean shortening the arms to pull the axle forward a bit to help the track bar to clear the gas tank.

I ended up going with a track bar relocation bracket and it seems that is going to fix the issue.
