Other than being a PayPal thing, it's a good app for sending/receiving money as long as you trust the person on the other end?
Yeah, that seems to sum it up. I also use it to pay my ex so I don't have to write checks, I don't trust her a bit.

Well yeah, you didn't know that about Venmo? ONLY use it to send money to those you trust.
Here's what pisses me off though..venmo has an option for goods and services just like PayPal and I used that option but still got screwed. So even when you do the needed steps to cover your ass you still get screwed.

And as an added point...this is a nice looking 20 something girl that got me..she has a job etc..this wasn't your typical Nigerian prince scam

i hear ya ! the problem is our society puts up with this kinda shit ! if the people (not the police) wouldn't put up with this shit and when we caught them we took em out to a cornfield (like they did Joe Pesci in casino) this would end very quickly ! but instead we slap them on the wrist and give them a steak dinner before we let them out to do it again ......

I think the decay of society plays into it as well..I messaged her father via Facebook and her step mother and nothing..if someone accuses my son or daughter of this you better believe we are having a conversation and if found true the money would be paid back even if it came from my pocket

I fucking hate these bullshit woke companies.
We discussed this, it has nothing to do with them being woke, it is an pure liability issue. They simply can't be and won't be a work around to the firearm restrictions that vary from State to State. If you live in a State that requires all firearm transfers to be done through an FFL and you and the seller do a behind the scenes deal, there is some liability on PayPal's side should you go on a rampage with said firearm. Even if you don't go on a rampage, you are still using PayPal to break the law.

Remember how deep they dug on the Vegas shooter to try and hang everyone even remotely involved with him? PayPal wants no part of that nor should they.
