Very Confused... kinda

The body plate on my TJ has the code DDQ (= AX5 transmission), but as I'm looking at the transmission, it looks like an AX15... no cast iron section.

I'm satisfied with the visual conclusion that I do in fact have an AX15, but the thing that befuddles me is why/how a stock TJ w/ 4.0 in it would come with an AX5...? I thought that wasn't a thing.

Something is not being interpreted properly, there's no way your TJ with the 4.0L would have the AX-5, it has the AX-15. The AX-5 won't even bolt up.

It's definitely a "Q", not an "O" and it has the engine code for a 4.0L
