Vibration while accelerating

I have a 2000 auto 4.0 and it has started vibrating as I accelerate between 25 and 35 mph. It goes away when I let off the gas. It feels like it is in the front but is the front driveshaft engaged at all in 2wd to where it could cause the vibration? I'm thinking about pulling it off and seeing if it goes away but didn't want to waste my time.

Do you have an aftermarket CV driveshaft in the rear requiring that your pinion angle be adjusted upward?

Pulling the front shaft should help tell you if the vibe is coming from the front or the back. While it's out be sure to inspect all the Ujoints. The front shaft will spin from the front axle but does not engage the transfer case. Only when in 4wd will the transfer engage and drive the front shaft.

No idea. No idea what a CV driveshaft is haha. I bought it with the lift about 3.5". I haven't changed anything that would cause the angle to change though and it didn't have the vibration before.

Can you take a good well lit (use a flash) photo of the entire rear driveshaft? Plus one from the side of the driveshaft-axle that shows everything from the front of the driveshaft to and including the rear axle? We want to see the angular relationship between the rear axle and the driveshaft.

Your vibrations might be from a bad (excessive) angle between the rear axle and driveshaft or a bad u-joint, or something else. The requested photos will go a long way to helping figure it out. No guarantees but..

This tells me you've owned this and experienced it without the vibe...??... correct?

If this is correct then I'd say you've got a u-joint(s) needing attention.

You've got 3 u-joints just on the front driveshaft. Any one of them going south could lead to your vibe. If you've never done it and don't know when they've been replaced now is a good time to do the front and back DS U-joints.

I ended up dropping it off at the shop and should hear tomorrow. I'll let you know what they find.

Mine was a bad rear U joint. I disconnected the front to isolate the vibration.

So what did the shop tell you? I plan on changing my rear u joints to see if that helps.
