Washington Washington members that live to wheel

I'll be there, club is hosting 2 trails this year and I got voluntold to lead one of em lol.

I don't know if the Shindig's are hosting this year or not. I really miss being a trail host so hopefully I'll have the Jeep ready and if my club is going to be a host I can also.

What trail are you leading?

should have said trails plural I guess since it will be three days... I'm leading one of our 2 'groups'. They haven't assigned trails to the groups as of yet.

Man, I checked and there’s no available registration. I keep missing out on this stuff.

Registration doesn't open up until 1 March I think.

Nope it opens on 5 March this year. So if you're interested in going make sure you register on that day.

Or you could join a club that supports the Trail Jamboree and maybe get to go for free.

It's been too long since I've done it I thought they would have trail assignment out already but I guess it's later in the year.

A lot of the guys managing it were focused on winter convention which was last weekend... I talked to the guy running the trails while I was there and they just finalized who the 12 groups leading trails would be, they expect to be doing trail assignments over the next month or so I guess. I do the other team from my club is leading Rimrock at least one day... they get that one done first I guess due to the restrictions.

Oh, awesome. Maybe I should try to read good

So I got talked into doing the Oregon Trophy Challenge in a couple months... anyone else here ever run it?

Still trying to figure out what I'm in for lol.

I've been reading about it too but not really sure what it's all about. Seems sort of like the Camel Trophy style where they have stuff you need to accomplish to compete.

I’ve done all 3 of the Washington team trophy challenges when they had to find a new venue since they were having problems with something down there. My team also took 9th 1st and 2nd (debatable on the 2nd, but I won’t get into that)
They are fun, a lot of fun but they run ya tired. The ones we did were 24 hrs. One of the tricks they do is tell ya can do, but not all of it, or they say what ya can’t do. There’s a lot of interpretation. Know how to read a tulip map and be good with GPS.
