Water got into my fuel and engine stalled

I have a hydraulic floor jack. This jeep is my daily and only car so i’ve been getting rides from friends back and forth. I’d leave it in my car but i’m out of space in there and I don’t want to leave anything valuable outside of it when i’m not there as it’s a sketchy place and someone has already stolen my license plate for some odd reason. It’s my fault tho as it was just zip tied on but still.

Yeah I'd tell someone about the plate. It could be put on a stolen car or used in a crime, or just racking up toll or speeding cameras tickets.

Someone stole the license plate off my wifes car, the individual who took it was then involved in a hit and run on a sheriffs vehicle a few counties over. That was fun opening the front door to 4 policeman who were looking for my wife!

The difference is huge between a floor jack and motorcycle jack, the motorcycle jack will hold the entire tank as it has two support bars that are roughly 10-12" apart. No need for a second set of hands holding your tank, they motorcycle jack is perfect for it. When your done throw it in your living room, Ive done that for a bit when I didnt have a garage

that jack would be awesome for the skid plate too, next time I need to drop mine I'm heading to my buddies place to get his.

Yeah i know they’re different but with the hitch that is on there I definitely need another set of hands plus $100 is not something I have right now[emoji53] also i live on the third floor of an apartment with a randomly roommate so i’m not sure if she would like that. Lol. I hope I dont get any door knocks. Especially since it’s my mothers address connected to the plate.

myself I would drain the entire tank, even if it means taking it off. Muddy water contains silt so lord knows how much crap is in the tank (I am assuming it was muddy water as it was a result of lots of rain). Replace your fuel filter and for what it costs to drain the oil and replace the filter I would do that too.

x2 on removing the plugs and clearing the cylinders.

How long should I crank the engine with the plugs and relay removed?

Probably as long as it takes to blow the mist out. Hopefully it stinks like gas.

When you put it all back together, you'll need to key the ignition on and off a few times to pressurize the fuel rail.

Well here are some pictures of the water line now that it’s day and I can see. I don’t see any line on the front seats.

Oil looks fine despite being a bit dark. Any milkyness you see in the photo is from water that was already there as I just dumped out the rain water.

I took the plugs out and fuel relay and started it multiple times. Also got new spark plugs because why not, they're so cheap. I also siphoned out the whole tank and added completely new fuel plus iso-heet and she's sounding normal again.
Assuming this is fuel related and not electrical, remove the spark plugs, pull the fuel pump relay and crank the engine until the mist stops. Wait a bit longer for things to dry out. Put it all back together.

Hopefully you didn't bend a valve or push rod when you got it running the last time.

You got it running?

Yup :) A bunch of misfires at first but none since earlier today when i added more gas to it. I’ve been trying to burn through my tank so it could cycle out any water and I got a couple more bottles of isoheet to add every refill but so far so good.
