What are the odds I can repair this myself with no experience? Body rust (pics in thread)

Possible or impossible?

Details on last pic. So previous owner did a patch job. Cut out rockers where rust was and put and angled steel over the rockers. Pic #2 also shows a brace he put in.

Whoever had this Jeep before you heavily modified the rockers by doing a mini-boat side. That’s why pic #2 has the angled piece (brace). It was required after they cut off the side of the Jeep about 2.5” under the door. Great for maximum clearance.

You can replace the floor pans and cut out and replace the angled piece. It looks like it never was painted. You could try removing all the rust on the brace and painting it first. Hard to say. And what’s underneath?

I'd be concerned for whomever wears that seatbelt during an accident...

How's the frame? I see rust on the skid plate, and possibly on the skid plate spacers...
 
Had a similar story and replaced both torque boxes, some tub and the roll bar. Got a 90 dollar harbor freight flux welder and spent I think 4 days on it. 2 or 3 of those days were just drilling out all the spot welds for the torque boxes. That was 4 years ago and they’re still rust free today.

Pros: You WILL have experience after this repair
Cons: it's not going to be an easy fix, I'm a frame/body fabricator of flat track bikes and race cars and I'm not sure I would attempt this one unless I was really motivated by $$$$$$$$.
 
I repaired similar and bought a wrecked rust free tub and took everything I needed from it. Either that or find a good tub and swap it out. The question at this point is, how is the frame?

And don't just look at the outside of the frame. You need to be fingering every hole your finger fits into to feel for flaking rust.
