What BBQ rubs and sauces are you using?

I’m trying to find a good rib/ pork rub and sauce. What are your suggestions?

We make our own rubs. Start with a pack of Leggs season

And then I add what ever we feel like.

For my sauce well it's all homemade but my starter stock is all the drippings from whatever meat we are smoking!!

Pork Rub - Plowboys Yardbird
Beef Rub - Plowboys bovine bold
Sauce - Blues Hog Original
Brisket - 50/50 salt and pepper

Have killer hogs and big poppa smokers and meat church voodoo on order to try.

I normally mix a blend that depends on the meat, what is in the pantry, and my mood at the moment but lately I've been experimenting with Slap Ya Mama low sodium as a base.

What wood? I don't always use a rub. Pecan and Hickory for ribs followed by sauce is all I need.

I've completely abandoned hickory and mesquite. Pecan, apple, and cherry cover everything other than salmon where I use alder.
