@Dave K. 07 rubi’s front springs broke and who knows how long he could have been driving it like this. What else could be damaged that we should check ? Also, how much height loss in a spring was the most anyone has experienced? Since we got the jeep, we think the springs were not the correct springs for the shocks that were in there. The shock length now is 17.25 inches. The length of the new spring that should have gone with the shocks that were in the jeep is 21.25 inches. That doesn’t seem possible to have lost that much height? Back when he first bought this, 5yrs ago, 4 inch lift shocks were put in as that is what the mechanic estimated the springs to match,. Now that we need new springs, we are trying to decide what the best option is. Get 4 inch lift springs to match the current shocks which dave has always hated, get 6inch lift springs which is what would match the 6inch shocks that were in it and have dave put those back in? Or buy new springs and shocks ? He does plow with it so wondering if maybe heavy duty set is needed? Thanks

You need to get springs to clear the tires he's running, then buy shocks that match. If you don't want to change the shocks, get the same lift height springs.

Why they broke in the first place? Poor design coupled with corrosion. Those pictures show some pretty bad rust. For plowing...hmmm...Jeeps are not really good plow vehicles, but if you must, get the lightest plow possible. I don't know if you can get a heavy duty spring...maybe install an air bag to help out?
