What did you do to your non-TJ Jeep today?

Picked up my SUA Ford Low Pinion front Dana 44 axle de-tubed from a local machine shop. Aiming to do a custom width 44. Allows for 36’s and a low-COG setup. I’ll run the 8.8 inch next-gen 44 gear sets in it. All for my YJ build. Ill run 3 inch tubes.

Rear axle is going to be bomb proof. Waiting on Spidertrax to get some rear axles in stock. With KOH around the corner, they have been swamped.

I am beginning to get more and more excited about my Jeep YJ build. The parts
just keep on piling up.

A couple of boxes from GearWorks showed up today. This stuff is on another level..Ultra 4/KOH level.

Attached a few teasers. The high pinion 10 inch third is massive and pure axle porn.

Went to the barn and started my truck, let it come to temperature and shut off. It's a 2002 gmc sierra 2500hd 8.1 allison from texas. Dont drive it in the winter.

I recently replaced the 32's on my LJ with 35's. The 32's still have plenty of life left in them, so I put them to good use.
I put them on my 96 V8 ZJ. I also added a 2" budget boost and did a little trimming to the front plastic fenders.

My "today" for doing something to my CJ started on Thursday when I got it fired up for the first time in 1-1/2 yrs. Then on Friday I washed it but wasn't too happy with how it looked so I took samples of both the yellow and purple to Home Depot and got a matching quart of each and a quart of black to do some touch ups. No, Home Depot doesn't match anything other than latex paint but I needed it to look better to be taken to a memorial fundraiser for the previous owner.

After, if anyone wonders about the bodywork, I did what I call PA style, cover the holes with duct tape and paint:

Yesterday I worked on ordering a rear axle and a few parts to support it.

Today was another day of executing purchases.

This morning I pulled the trigger on a very clean GM 6.0L LQ9 which is their highest output 6.0 for that gen of GM engines.

Ordered a transmission for my LS swap.
Maximum transmission has a pretty good reputation in the Ultra 4 and rock bouncer world.
Ordered a built 4L80E today. Should take about 5 weeks to get it to my door.
