What did you do to your TJ today?

i like that one. does the receiver hitch seem decent enough to pull a trailer? nothing too big, something like a 5x8?

4.75 ton rated D rings
D rings and receiver welded inside and out
My only gripe is doesn’t have bracket to mount under frame only 8 mount points on rear crossmember.
Still seems very strong.
$175 shipped https://www.cjponyparts.com/classic...-tj-1997-2006-unlimited-2004-2006/p/TJ510008/

Well, Sunday the hood bracket for the hold down broke in half when closing the hood. Not ideal. Came up with a temp fix and ordered replacements. They arrived yesterday, and I figured it'd be a quick job to install them. Not so much. The bolt holding the hold down to the fender spun on both sides. Long story short, got the old ones off today and new ones on before my surgery tomorrow for my broken finger. Good times.

Edit:
I’ve run these Rugged Ridge ones on JKs before and was happy with the finish and function. They’re a little big/clunky on the smaller TJ, but I’m sure I’ll get used to them. I do like how the shiny bits tie in with the grill and stainless fasteners I used for the rockers.

Ordered JKS sway bar disconnects the morning of 3/22, notified the item was shipped 3/23 and probably wouldn't arrive until 3/30.
Today I am working out in the garage and the brown/gold truck stops at the edge of the driveway; I am surprised when the driver delivers the sway bar disconnects.
WOW.... that's a record for me.....; 50 hours from ordering to delivery....
Removed the OEM links, installed the JKS disconnects, greased the bushings and torqued all the bolts involved.

i ordered it from amazon back before xmas looks like it went up 30 bucks since then. and dont forget the header channel if you dont have one already. the top and header bar is all you will need. just make sure you put the top in the sun when its at least 75 degrees outside (i placed mine on the roof of a metal shed i have for 2 hrs) take your time putting it on and dont rush or try to force the zippers closed on the fist installation. let the top stretch and then zip a little and repeat until its zipped fully.

Does this top require door surrounds ?

Officially made my first mod in my TJ! Rims and Tires!

Photo #1: Rubicon rims with Goodyear Wrangler All Terrain with Kevlar 235/70r16 (29") that I was running for the past 2 years.

Photo#2: Stock TJ rims with stock TJ Goodyear Wrangler Tires 215/75r15 that I ran for the past 10 days, because I sold my Rubicon rims to buy the new ones! This is a good comparison though because is the tire size that my TJ came stock with.

Is there any lift? do they bottom out or rub. What about your spare?
Asking because I am buying new tires today.

It is stock suspension right now! I am going to install a 2" lift in a few weeks.
I have not tried if they rub yet. But they will rub 100% off road. Thats why I'm installing the lift.

The spare is stock right now. But the 5th tire&rim are going to be installed in a month.

Thanks I just read your build link.
I dont think I would chance it on mine without a lift as I have the painted Sahara flares and think I would have trouble replacing them.
