Yea I’ve heard great thing about NJ, but never tried a phosphoric acid alternative to Ospho. Biggest complaint on my stuff tends to be price if they can’t find it locally (i get mine at Ace) or if folks don’t know what they are doing and try to paint over loose converted rust (powder).I used it back in the late 1960's on several of the used cars I drove as a high schooler....50 dollar beaters my Dad bought to keep me out of the family car.....

Here is the wire wheeled and Ospho’d removable seat-base bracket. I used the Ospho to get to the nutsert threads and corners where the wheel couldn’t completely get. To get the varnish-like Ospho residue off I run more Ospho on it and then rinse/degrease right away.
