What did you do to your TJ today?

Got my BMB knuckle saver kit installed. Put the the front driveshaft on and took the Jeep for a vibration free drive. Checked torque on the lock nut after 100 miles of driving, all good. Glad to have this project wrapped up.

What brand/model skid plate and crossmember is this? I really like that.

After further inspection I see the fitment is for all TJ 2.5 except 97 models. Not sure if there’s a real difference between the manifolds on the different years with the same engine but I’ll probably order one and see.

That's weird , I wonder what could be the difference. Mine is a 97 too and I have the same problem you have , why I was looking at these. I didn't see that it said doesn't work on 97 so thanks for that heads up. I think I will shoot a question off to these guys and ask them why !
The link to the one for 120.00 said fits 97-99 and with pipe , I am going with that. I am going with stainless all the way back , I just saw the one for 77 and threw that in.

Maybe check into a 95 2.5 header?

I happened to notice that they kinda resemble the big chrome titties on the front bumper of a 55 caddy deville.🤣

I like them more now..haha. a nice pair of 'Marilyn's or Dagmar's is what they used to call them

New o2 sensor seems to have done the trick, no CEL no codes and as of today's drive, all sensors are ready. Gonna pass my inspection tomorrow and finally get the title in my name. It is highly satisfying to take a jeep with issues that the PO couldn't resolve and thus priced it low, and then fix those issues with next to no money or effort. I have 2 TJ's and both were acquired in this way. I won't apologize. I figure I'm saving them from an eternity of rusting out on the side of some dude's trailer.

did you notice any improvement to MPGs after new sensors went in?

Dropped the fuel tank for the no fill fix but delayed - waiting on correct fuel pump ring tool..chicken..or prudent..and I'll have a shiny new tool to loan out.

Got the proper tool. My biggest 1/2" breaker bar + a floor jack handle for a cheater, set the tank against the Ford tire, steady hard pull, and POP!
Darn!
Filing the plastic was easy. Gonna get a second pair of hands to help the old man set the tank and ride trails Saturday. It's sure to take fuel now.
