Finally got my hard top off the ground with left over lumber.
It won't hurt a thing the way you have them it's just that the rotor you have pictured is turning clockwise on the passenger side and as you can see the indicator is on the bottom and when it touches it will be dragged away from the pad and may or may not make much noise . Making a squealing noise is what it is intended to do , be sure to change both out side and in side as to have the two tabs lining up so they will slide right in.....I'm sure you know what I am talking about there.
Neat setup you configured there with the cable pushing the brake lever and I will be interested in knowing how well the end of the cable will hold up. I would keep an eye on it if I were you but my bet is it will be fine they are pretty tough and made to move around with the axle movement.

The flip brackets take advantage of a neat little aspect of control cables. A control cable only works when the housing is constrained by a bracket or mount with enough strength to withstand the forces needed to actuate the function and produce the end result desired. That means if the housing end moves, the cable won't be able to do its job. You can invert that and lock down one end of the cable and let the housing do the work with exactly the same function.
Since the movement, friction level, forces, and angles are identical to the stock functions, there is zero detriment endured by either the housing, cable, or cable ends. The only difference is which one moves and we've not had a single reported failure of any aspect of the system with 1000's in use.

@Daubie3, you should really start you own build thread. It's a great way to keep track of your build, and a very good way to get instant help on questions like this as your build progresses. Things like this get lost in this thread. I for one would love to follow along.

It's supposed to be the real deal from days gone by. It does appear that it might be but I'm no expert on signage. It's a lot heavier than my "China" signs and has some aging on the back side. So who knows, picked it up at a local non automotive flea market pretty cheap.
When I was a kid the Sinclair station was the closet to our house (about a mile away) and that's the one I rode my bike to all the time to get a "bottle" Coke.
Oh those Yesterdays.... Didn't wear a helmet either...real rebel..🤪

Thanks. I seen where you put it together on the previous link you sent me but didn't see where you had ordered it from.
I may do that, to be honest though just making a random post or replying to one is about the limit of my forum abilities. I've just never gotten real deep in any of them other than being that creepy stalker in the shadows..😳🤪
I will look into doing that and see if I can figure it out.. Definitely don't want to do something wrong on a forum lest be chastised, and I have very thin skin and tend to cry a lot.😋

Here’s two old Church ruins near Beaufort, SC. The smaller stone structure is The Chapel of Ease which survived the Revolutionary War & the Civil War, but burned in a forest fire in the 1880s. The larger brick structure is the Old Sheldon Church which was burned in the Revolutionary War, rebuilt & burned again in the Civil War. Both churches are maintained as parks & both have graveyards (graveyards are located on church grounds while cemeteries are free standing burial grounds not on church grounds). The Old Sheldon Church has some more recent graves do, evidently, family members can still be buried there. They also have an outdoor church service there every year.
Both of these old ruins are breathtaking!

Those are pretty neat. We spend a lot of time down in that area.
The Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, GA is very interesting. Lots of oaks with spanish moss hanging everywhere.

Wasted a whole bunch of time installing Amazon seat warmers.. What a disappointment.
It is an easy but time consuming install. Between getting the heating elements in place under the Bartacts, pulling the center console, running the wiring and mounting the switches it was a good few hours and once done.. they don't work. They are getting power to them and the led indicators light up for one out six settings, but they don't heat up. The relays don't click when powered but in one setting make an unusual buzzing sound. I disconnected them for fear of torching my TJ.
Worst part is the item is pulled from the Amazon store so I can't leave a negative review. By the time I allocate enough time to get it uninstalled it will be too late to get a refund. The seller is KBD Store.... Avoid them.

Winding down Cinco d Andy, my 5 day birthday celebration that started with me sending everyone reminder texts, going to @Hog s because my wife said “do whatever you want” and then the pinnacle of Thursday being my birthday and Turkey day (coincidence?) and then got a winch line last night and wheeled today and got some walkie talkies because Allen’s impressed me, then tonight is the bash at my house- where people will say things like “Andy you can brighten a room just by leaving it “.....

We welcomed a new Jeep into the family! My son bought a JT. On another note, I have my wife talked into
me getting an LJ! Things are happening!
Got my lunchbox locker delivered today. Hopefully I get a decent day to install it. Between the cold weather and working six days a week until after new years it’s hard to find the motivation to crawl around on the ground under my Jeep unless necessary.
