I like that combo cowl light and antenna mount set up.

I have the same GMR ass radio on my gladiator, also with a ghost antenna. Looking to get a set up for the TJ as well to replace the CB I no longer use.

Thanks! Really wanted to get it out of the way and thought it would look good there. Ordered the drop bracket from Amazon and routed all the wires through the cower area. Great place to hide a few extra feet of antenna cable, and super easy to use the drivers side wiper wiring grommet to get it into the cab.

How far south are you headed? We really enjoyed our NZ trip several years back (2017). We Drove from Auckland to Dunedin. Some fun stuff along the way:

Installed the 12 O'clock labs speedometer calibrator lump.

It seems to work fine. It would have been nice if the cable had been about a foot longer, it barely reached a quasi-suitable location in the engine compartment. It would have been fantastic if the cable had been about 3 feet longer and the potted control module had been "soft wired" such that it could have been located under the dash in the cab, away from the very high underhood temperatures. But the Jeep is now ready for foties - or 31s!

Finally had some time for jeep stuff over the last week or so. Installed a new double din, installed new switch housing in the factory location, relocated my locker switches from vent to the new spot, (if anyone has a factory dash vent laying around let me know!), have rca's ready for amp. Installed new 5-1/4" components with the tweeters mounted on the dash. Today took the rear storage box out to continue on sub and amp installed. I had everything ready for the sub for a while, just had to install terminals and bolt it in. Got lucky on a random grill fitting good enough to use. It's metal and should protect pretty well. For the amp, I drilled holes and instaled t-nuts. I used rubber spacers to hopefully help with vibration, as well as air flow. Maybe tomorrow or over thr weekend I'll take the seats and console out and run the rest of wiring to the rear to finish everything.
