What did you do to your TJ today?

I found a 2007 Jeep SRT8 for sale locally. 6.1 L Hemi V8, with an owner added supercharger. The old SRTs develop 420hp @ 6200 and 420 ft-lbs @ 4800 rpm. The supercharger adds 100 to each of those.
I think it would twist most of the stuff off the bottom of my Jeep.

Winch got back from Warn. New motor and drum. Bolted, wired and spooled it up. Ready for whatever adventures we throw at it this weekend!
Also my flex pipe arrived from Amazon. Going to pull the front down pipe off and put a flex joint and v band clamp just forward of the CAT.

Exactly why I asked. My daughter has a bag of synthetic pillow stuffing in with the sewing swag.
I don't have halfies on the TJ.. just so expensive here in NE. But I did on one of my prior JKs. I did exactly what you describe. Cut a small discreet slit in the seal around the uppers and threaded vacuum hose inside. Worked perfect. Was going to use surgical tubing but I felt it wasn't stiff enough. Put a dab of cyanoacrylate glue on the slit to close it permanently.

I put on new decals on the panels yesterday and installed new jounce bumps today. Our fat tabby Tubby (aka: Fat Bastard) wants a ride!
I replaced the TJ as my daily with a new Gladiator, so it's just been sitting all winter. Decided to pull it in to do some basic maintenance to get ready for summer. Ball joints, rear axle bearings, brakes.
One thing led to another and it appears I'm essentially starting a whole half-assed restoration. Going to clean up, rust treat and paint the frame and axles. Bumpers and rock rails and some other bits going off for media blasting. Going to open up the rear wheel arches some. New body and transfer case mount bolts and body bushings on the way. New shocks, although I see people talking a lot of shit about the 9000xl now, I ordered another set to replace my 10 year old ones. I always liked them. I think I'm going to finally get a UCF engine skid while I'm at it. Been dragging my feet on the 2bar map sensor and injectors but I might as well get that taken care of too.
After turning wrenches on the JT for a year it's pretty exciting, although a broken bolt nightmare, to get back to the TJ.
Jeep is an 05 with about 95k miles on it. Obviously a rust belt basket case. Although the red iron range mud we have up here makes everything look much worse than it is.

Try bending them first, just not while in the door. I drilled holes in a fence post so I could tweak the angle, my new uppers needed an adjustment and are now leak free. Before I got the new ones, I did 5/8 nylon rope pulled through with fish tape. Pain in the ass todo but worked really well.
Got a replacement dipstick delivered today. The engine I picked up last weekend has a broken one stuck in the tube. I’ll try some old injection molding tricks to get it out before pulling the tube out aka heating up a wood screw and sticking it into the plastic and allowing it to cool down. Hopefully there’s enough plastic to make it work.
No 5/8 nylon on hand but I had some 1/4" poly. Proof of concept and at least I can use it as fish tape for the right stuff...

Pulled the speakers out of the sound bar. Discovered I have a pair of fidget 5.25" Kickers installed by the PO.
Stuffed the sound bar with poly fill.
Um, I'm not claiming to have audiophile level performance (nor do I want or need it) but a dollars worth of poly fill made a huge improvement. What little base I have is definitely more pronounced and no more rattling dome light.
I call it a win.

Got the old dipstick out and the new one in. Worked a little bit on cleaning up the crud and caked on grime. Pulled the heater hoses off and the old radiator hoses too. Still need to pull the valve cover and inspect everything but a little progress is better than none. My daughter has the flu so I’m taking care of her while the wife is at work.

I might get laughed at for this one.
My clutch pedal pad has worn down over 20 years and has started to get very slick when my shoes are wet.
My foot has slipped off the pedal a couple times recently so I decided to fix that issue.
I originally thought about replacing it with a new one but I couldn’t find one local.
This is my solution. I put a few small screws in through the back of the pad to give my shoe something to grab on too. Kinda like studded tires.
