You should probably lower the oil pan so the crankshaft seal can self center over the harmonic balancer when the timing cover bolts are tightened.otherwise it might be forced upwards and have a limited sealing life

Looks like you already have full doors!

Yes I do, but there is some rust starting in the seams on the bottom and around the windows. Nothing major and I will address it. Fenders are starting to bubble up on the top.

So I figure if I can find some then I will just store them for now. You know the routine with winter around here in New England :(

I was made aware of this by feel when I first tried to wiggle in the TC cover (maybe I got lucky) I stopped and was able to feel about 1/8” of ‘squish’. So I did un tighten all the bolts to create ample space.

Also thank you for the info. For my 97 and the felpro gasket best way to do this if reusing the gasket is to loosen all the oil pan bolts to create space.

I got the new calipers, new rotors, and new BMB pads installed today. I also tried to flush the brake system, but I don't think I did it correctly. I may give it another shot tomorrow.

I tested out the brakes. They work, but they are weak. There is resistance in the brake pedal so I don't believe there is air in the lines. I do need to break in the BMB pads. I don't know when I'll get around to doing that though. That's probably the reason for the weak brake system right now.

Did you use the brake lockout tool when you bled the brakes?

Removed the smittybilt exo rack. Re-aligned my tailgate because it slipped.

I also put together the HF cargo rack for the hitch mount. It seems well made and should give me a bit more cargo capacity.

Put on my new plates. This time with fancy ass white tape instead of black. Zip ties for the win.

All you guys cleaning out your radiators....hah. If I need more cooling, I'll pop off the plate to increase air flow. :)

Heater worked great at 25 F below zero last winter.

You can learn a lot about a man by the way he cuts zip ties.

There is a very special place in hell for you savages 🤭

Started on a little project I've been thinking about trying for a while now. Still working on it but general proof of concept looks positive so far...

I think that's a little overkill for finding the parking spot curbs in a grocery store parking lot.

I've actually got a pretty sweet artificial 360 backup cam that will do that for me. I'll try and get a pic of that working tomorrow. I thought about flipping it around and using it going forward for self spotting instead of what I'm currently doing, but I like it so much for backing in, I went this route instead.

What's the ballpark going rate for something like that?

I just picked up a nice set of red half doors for $500 this weekend in Chicagoland area. They were listed for $600 at a local Jeep rehab place

No rust, but the beige interior needs to be SEM matched to slate grey. I ordered all mew pins and bushings for them

It took me a few months of watching and waiting.

Just for a comparison I got a quote on 2 half doors over here from a wreckers yard ( they were pretty munted with no interior door panels or handles ) and it was USD 1200 bucks 😬
Good ones are rare and you have to richer than Oprah to buy a set lol
