What did you do to your TJ today?

super glue is the best though...

Now you guys can see what I was dealing with all day Saturday..... I finally got the 13 different Lugnuts off the vehicle and got every wheel set up the same and washed all their grimy paw prints off of it-

Then loaded my tool bags better hoping, uh, I mean in case, they aren’t there to help
next time.

Got a lug wrench I like- wanted a sharp right angle not a curved handle-Notice it gleams like a light saber. I could dual Triton -“ Goob! I’m your father!”

If the rain holds off im going to pull the LJR out of the shop
(Top is off) and do the right side studs so this never happens again (@Jerry Bransford says if I can’t even get to the trail without a wheel falling off to lose his number when I get in the woods😄)

I’m really happy about all I learned and really encourage you Rubi guys to pull a rear lug and notice the depth.

Many aftermarket axle companies use those with a taper- this is bad, bad on a Rubi. I emailed 10
Factory today about it.

I will never run stock lugs on a Rubicon without extended Lugnuts or changing the rear studs. If you have aftermarket wheels you really need to pay attention.

In my case it was the axle change.

if you didn't have those Duralast wheels we could of used all the same lugnuts

We would have to start with having all the same lugnuts.

You know it was amazing how we all contributed to the solution-

Ranger had a good lug wrench for working with a bunch of different lugs

John had everything but the kitchen sink in his tool bag-

- You did the running and scared the girls away

And I am the goober that made sure we had a broke jeep to fix .

Man what a day. And to be honest with you I couldn’t of been stuck with better people.

yea that was one heck of a box John has ! maybe next time I'll throw a floor jack in the back of mine ! :ROFLMAO:

Noooo, Just throw his stuff in the back and leave him at home.

Dang rough crowd tonight!!!!!

I am already planning to change up my tool box, add some things and take a few things out, might even have to get another box and have 2.

One thing I am looking at is a 1/2 cordless impact gun. Probably won't break the bank, just go with a HF one, as it will primarily be for trail rides ........ when Andy breaks stuff!!!!! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

@Jerry Bransford you should of seen it ! he wanted open lugnuts since we were going with longer studs to make sure they didn't bottom out before tightening. AUTO ZONE made the openings on the wheels 13/16in and the lugnuts were 3/4in . ever try getting a 3/4in socket in a 13/16's hole ? shit dont fit. so on the open ended lugnuts the socket would bottom out before the nut tightened up ! but we eventually got it worked out and he had 5 tight lugnuts and thats all that counts in the end !

Nothing like a good trail fix gone well but breakages sure suck when they happen. Nice job Andy and team! 🇺🇲

I’m going to be a little philosophical but I’m dead serious-

I left Friday evening and drove from Alabama to Georgia in a Jeep. I refer to that trip as going through hell and half of Georgia.

When I parked in Georgia I was sitting behind a fully restored CJ seven Golden Eagle. I got up that morning and got in a Jeep. Then I went down the road and met a buddy who loves Jeeps in a jeep. Then we met another jeep nut and drove through some absolutely gorgeous country.

Yes, we had some unexpected trouble and we all got to talk about Jeeps and work on Jeep and help and hang out with each other.

I was in a country church parking lot 200 miles from home and at first I was pretty freaked because I didn’t have many options and I knew these parts were not going to be in anybody’s tool bag-

Anyway we got the job done and we still got to hit the trail a little , and see a stunningly beautiful view, went to dinner with Jeep guys, Then I got in a jeep and drove home for five hours through some beautiful country along the Ocoee River with the moon light shining off of it.

Smiled all day.

Not a bad day. At all.

My point is do you have to be doing what you planned to have a good time? Honestly I got to stay longer and really spend more time with you guys and get to know @RangerTJ too.

A jeep day that goes south still beats a good day at work.

When are we going again? 😊

Jerry here is the deal with our band of misfits.

@AndyG is like the fearless leader, you know like the guy in the movie "inglorious bastards" the one who called the Germans Naazis

Well Andy likes the word Pervert for some reason (guess it one of those, takes one to know one scenarios)

@tr21triton is kinda like the guy with the baseball bat.

And me well I'm kinda like Charlie Bucket in Charlie and the chocolate factory. I'm just lucky to be there!!!!!

Love it, that's what it's all about! 😍🇺🇲

Your helper needs a cookie

Man he is a phenomenal dog. I’ve never seen anything like him.

Ask these guys about “Buddy”

He will climb 7 feet up a brick wall and grab a nerf frisbee hanging on a coach light and bounce up and down until he gets it off. He’s got more heart than any dog I’ve ever seen. He is a machine.

I think I’m up for Jan. Sounds like I missed a heck of a trip.
