What did you do to your TJ today?

Brother there is no way possible you lost 20 hp going back to the stock set up.

Well considering how dead it feels on the freeway after putting on the stock airbox, anywhere from 60 to 80 and really any acceleration point in general it does not accelerate as hard as it used to compared to the cheap pod filter with a outerwears pre filter(intake noises were great&shortly lived)

My jeep is cammed, head with LS valvetrain, slightly ported intake,Tuned aswell ,in which I used a pod filter stuck to the intake tube and tuned it in this configuration,so yes in other terms my jeep is breathing in alot more air than a bone stock jeep so ofcourse it'll need a better intake system that's not as restrictive as the stock airbox 🙃

So if any smart-asses wants to tell me how useless CAI's are I will not proceed to talk with you furthermore.I know a few that dont like cai's are after seeing Jezzas thread even with factual evidence, did not expect the same people that i've had good shares with me here in the forum to be so out of pocket persay to another person but hey that just life. I'm cool with the ones that I know here but I guess the Cai topic is touchy and will affect out relations...

As far as filtration goes I'm not too concerned since 60-70 percent of my jeeps life is spent being a daily the other times are me crawling with it i.e at bridgeport and even at that the stock airbox can't filter the fine gravel dust from leaving/entering the place let alone the wheeling. So to help it I just ziptie a pre-filter on the airbox snout and it helped 🙂

I finally saw this LJ that's been for sale locally. The PUMPKINATOR 2. The expensive top might look better if the Jeep was lifted on 35s. It's an 06' auto with 73,000 miles on it. He's asking $19,500. It's in very good condition. He won't get that price here in Charlottesville though.

I believe this was for sale last April, guy lives in VA. I probably would have gone for it if it had a manual gearbox...

it wont peel out on dry concrete

...and speaking of manuals, you wouldn't have that issue if ya had one... ;)

Looks like one of our members designs

It is, indeed. (y)

Yeah....I really wanted a manual, more fun less hassle with ecu issues and let's say if I wanted a 6r80 I wouldn't need to clean my harness up and buy another ecu....but all the Ljs that I was shopping for were auto's not 1 manual (unless it was a tj) and they all were 05/06s. The 04s are really easy to convert to manual since the engine management is standalone compared to the tcm and ecm being 1 unit on the 05/06's🙃
But hey the Rubicrawler that's in my garage would be nice on my jeep 😁

As a man said "with enough power you can drift an auto or do burnouts" 😆

It was about a 4:1 or 5:1 autos to manuals, that's why it took me well over a year to find mine and it came to me from afar...Texas to be specific. It was a bit frustrating after awhile. There were plenty of good looking LJs with decent mileage and no rust, but the gearbox was typically the deal breaker.

Hi guys,

Today, my door handle were not working for the right one (had to open from inside), and the left one had a loose spring giving a bad feeling.
I ordered a set of outdoor and indoor handles for 60$CAD on amazon. Metal is good, mechanism looks great but the details are crap (lock writing not on the right side or upside down, plastic part on the wrong side...).

I managed to get rid of the old handle which is not easy considering the small space you have to play with. But this was the easy part—the worst start when you want to get the new handle back in.
You have 2 gator pins the put on each side which are a nightmare to put in. I spent like 1h30 trying for the 1st one, went to buy some thin and curved tool which ended up being useless...

The solution was to put the front one from the outside, manage to get the handle in a very tight position with the front gator pin in, and push the front gator pin in thanks to screwdriver and hammer. Then rip your hand off trying as much as you can to put the back one. Unfortunately, I cannot push the gator pins really low giving it a very very tight grip, however, the first notch seems ok so it will remain like this.

Then, setting everything back together and well, it's not perfect (inside lock very very hard on driver side and hard opening door on passenger side) but it works and looks better than before.

1 ton project officially started. Spend awhile accumulating all the part and dive into build at end of this year after a wheeling season.

I think there are more stick shifts in their export jeeps when they were made… we get a lot of Japanese import Jeeps (mine included) in this country and a lot of them are manual.( which I’m very happy about) 😀👍

But this is odd. Their website shows a B in here. I’ll probably get it filed in anyway but?

Thats a 7 slot customs bumper AKA barnes 4wd,I have their pritchett canyton front bumper on the Diesel gladitor (Profile pic) and i ordered it from their website when it was under the brand name of "7 slot customs". But yeah "7 Slot custums" was their jeep specific brand from barnes from what they told me but later on they just had it all under one name as we all know as "Barnes 4wd" and im sure if you order anything Barnes and it has a 7 on it, its probably "Old stock"

That's funny, saw this on marketplace and was debating to pick this up or not, but decided I need my hitch for the occasional bike rack.

I did however pick up a new in box Yukon Zip Locker for my Dana 44 today for $250. Hopefully will have the time next weekend to toss it in.
