I always use Purple Power. It dissolves grease and dirt. I use the car wash power hose on low pressure to rinse it off.
I'll try purple power.

I have a second steering wheel and a RedLineGoods leather skin I have been procrastinating on installing. I should sell it. I bought a second wheel and had it professionally wrapped with some added padding.
Yikes!Put a can of tick repellent in my Jeep. Better late than never.

I tried installing the RedLineGoods cover. The foam didn't line up with the recesses in the wheel for the leather seams and although they give you "enough thread to do it three times over so you can keep working on it" (paraphrasing) the reality is if you don't nail it the first time the leather will have stretched too much to try a second time. It's on the Jeep but I hate it.
I have a second wheel and the plan is to come up with my own templates and practice using cheap PU Leather from Amazon. Once I have it right I will get some high quality leather.

New to the forum. Replaced the rusting exhaust manifold with Banks and painted the replacement exhaust with some high temp paint.

Hello fellow Virginian! Welcome to the list. I need to do this too. Probably a good time to fix the rear main seal while at it. How hard was it to get the rusted bolts off?
Greeting! I gave the bolts a good soak for about three days and it wasn’t too bad. Good idea about the rear main.
I didn't trust my skills to get it perfect and since it would be in my hands virtually every day, I needed it to be perfect. I purchased a second wheel and had sent right to the guy that did the work. Chris @ LeatherGoods. Looks like his website is no longer around. He was great to work with. The leather isn't a perfect match to the shift boot and arm rest I bought from RedLine, but it's close enough and the stitching and the areas around the spokes came out great.I tried installing the RedLineGoods cover. The guy that did mine tucked the leather up under the trim pieces and glued it all in place. I never would have been able to get it as nice as he didThe areas around the spokes took some thinking and planning.

While I had the hood up trying to diagnose a fluctuating volt reading I put a couple pieces of weatherstripping on the hood lip.
