What did you do to your TJ today?

Changed out the vacuum check valves. Thanks to @B1Toad for the info on the valve to use. These Motorcraft ones are identical to the OEM ones. Hopefully now under load the HVAC won't move up to the defrost vents. I've got the top off so it will be Monday before I can test it.

Also had to change my radiator, again. This is the 3rd one in 6 months. Stupid junk O'Reilly ones. I've gotten the time down to less than an hour from start to finish. I'm going to be on the hunt for a Mopar one this week.

What the heck is happening to them??? Where are they leaking from??

Both of the ones cracked in the plastic right where it turns down on the inside next to the cap. Both of them only lasted about 4-5k miles so I know my time is probably limited with this one.

What happened to the OEM one? I had a new top tank put on my OEM and it's still going strong.

My foot vents only close 90%, I’ve checked the selector motors, blend door, etc. wonder if that would help seal them up all the way.

Not a lot, but lined the wooden drawer with a rubber mat and placed two bins in for some organization. Need to get a roll-up tool bag (if that is what they are called) for wrench’s, screwdrivers etc. I did hook up the utility trailer and went with my wife to get horse food.

It's too hot to drive around so mine is down for some maintenance.

Fuel level sender has a dead spot so I'm replacing the fuel pump assembly, and taking care of the burp issue while it's out.

My rear shocks have been too short since I installed the Rockjock springs so I've got longer ones, trying out the Skyjacker Black Max. Also added a hockey puck under the bump stop pads. It comes out to 4.5" between the (Rockjock) poly bumps and 5" of exposed shaft, leaving 6" of down travel.

My exhaust likes to spin in the clamps and squeak, as well as contact the right rear shock so I've got that out and ready weld...probably tomorrow morning before church when it's a little cooler. First welding the 10" extension onto the front end of TJ-length tailpipe, then I'll fit it up with the muffler and scribe some alignment marks, take it out and weld it on the table. Call me a noob or whatever else you want but I just don't really enjoy welding above my face.

Flowmaster SS downpipe/cats showed up. I've been running a 2.25" muffler. Actually, I've gone through 5 different mufflers trying to figure out what I like. Now I've got this Flowmaster pipe in front of me with a 2.5" termination before the third cat and it got me thinking...

So I spent money I wasn't planning to spend.
Ordered some 2.5" stainless pipes, a new 2.5" in/out muffler, V-bands clamps.
Radiator skid.
Sent some more money Blaine's way for a long overdue winch line along with the ST up fairlead and a power steering cooler.
Fuse block for the heated seats and other accessories inside the Jeep.
Got some floor mats for the Gladiator.

Resisting the urge to buy a new spice Trektop for the TJ and outboard parts. I'd love to get some intercooler tubes and gears for the Gladiator too.

Must stop. Overtime and holiday pay is a helluva drug.

Just a mini tip, Spray the bolts down with Kroil, PB Blaster, etc. etc. Your jeeps is very clean.....admittedly cleaner than mines 🙄But it makes the unbolting process much better! Especially if you spray them and then start the jeep for like 15 seconds it makes it super super easy! Thats what i did the 1st time when i changed my cats after 200k miles
And copper anti-seize does wonders if and when you need to do any service on your jeep 😁
Also....dayum a Rad. skid ? Never knew of that! I also never thought about that !
