What did you do to your TJ today?

Cut and clamped on a turn down. Actually sounds pretty good.

Installed a Cold Case aluminum radiator this morning. I got tired of the cheap O'Reilly radiators cracking. A friend of my brother's owns an off road shop (Wheat's Off-road) and he highly recommend this one.

Install notes:
1. The Hayden extreme duty fan clutch (2791) will not work as it will hit the radiator. The stock fan clutch is only about 1/2" away from it.
2. The fan shroud nutserts are M6x1.0. The radiator doesn't come with bolts, so you will need to source them. I chose stainless.
3. The shroud will need new holes drilled a out 1/4" higher than the OEM holes. This will allow the shroud to sit where it should and not get hit by the fan.
4. The radiator has to come out to remove the fan in the future.

After driving it after the swap, it does run cooler. This week I'll see what it does when I get the soft top back up with the AC.

Yeah I'm on the same boat,if my advance auto radiator fails me again or another Denso radiator I may just go with with this radiator, they work great in squarebodies but we drive jeeps that flex alot so who knows
I've resorted to using rubber washers/bushings to kinda isolate the radiator from the grill so that it can "cushion" it from deflection, seems to work for me so far

Finally finished up my Toyota lights, by putting on the bezels back on. I was only able to secure them using 2 of the 3 screws because they are a little larger than the wagner britelites that were on before. It's still secure, so all good.

I didn't do anything to my TJ today, but I'm just appreciating how far it has come along in the last year. Going from barely working brakes, sand in the cooling system, a radio that didn't work, no maintenance being done to it in years, and so many other things that I'm not going to list, this thing is looking great, it is running great, and I'm very happy with it right now.

Changed out multifunction due to finicky blinkers this week and brights that haven’t felt solid when engaging. Not a bad job. 6 bolts and a plug. Pretty uneventful for a change.

That reminds me I need to replace my indicator stalk as I have to switch it off when i have finished turning a corner....I have got so used to it that I do it automatically and dont even think about it haha...

Installed the MORE steering pillow riser. Installed a SpeedoDRD and calibrated it. Belt had been squeaking so I pulled off all the easy to get to pulleys and took a wire brush and brake cleaner to all of them and slapped a new belt on. Squeal is gone, slight chirp still exists on cold start. Kind of lost on that one.

Drove out to a parking lot and fiddled with the crossover and audio settings to get it sounding decent. Probably going to order some Polks tonight.

Helped a friend with his fuel pump and tank tonight. Diagnosed his fuel problem as a pump issue. Turns out both wires were just about broken off inside the fuel tank. Good thing we looked inside too... His tank was full of grit and sludge. Got all of that cleaned out, and going to install a new pump tomorrow. Probably could fix the other one, but with all that sludge that was in his tank I think it would be better just to replace it.
