What did you do to your TJ today?

Good ones are hard to find. Really, any of them are.

Agreed, mine was from the first owner and had the maintenance records with it. Original owners manual, marketing brochure etc. It was his wife’s Jeep and they used to travel back and forth to their cabin in Shasta. She passed away, he kept if for a year and none of their adult children wanted it so he decided to sell it. So blessed to have found it.

Makin some more progress with the 2.4L rebuild. A few more days and this thing should be back in and ready to be started up.

Half doors on.

You guys ever restore a set and wish you had just polished them and ran them?

I sort of wish I’d done that with these...just the cost, hassle and now the fine tuning when they worked great before.

I took my starter off. This girl brought me home safe and sound and died in the garage. Anyone know the part number of this rear bolt? The guy I bought it from I believe used a different bolt, maybe he lost the original. I think it’s slightly too big, needed an impact wrench and some ass behind it to get it off. Front came off just fine. I’d like to replace with the real part.

If you must run doors, half doors are the way to go. I live in Colorado at 6200' elevation, so I have to run doors half the year, but my favorite day of the year, and the day I always consider as the first day of summer, is the day the windows and doors come off the Jeep. But, when I'm heading up to the high country and rain (or snow) is a strong possibility, I put the half doors on and stash the window curtains in back, just in case.
