What did you do to your TJ today?

Scandal on the island....Tessie got her tits out!!!!

Finally removed the hardtop for repairs and refinishing and it's the first time she's been topless since I got her back in May '23.

If you must run doors, half doors are the way to go. I live in Colorado at 6200' elevation, so I have to run doors half the year, but my favorite day of the year, and the day I always consider as the first day of summer, is the day the windows and doors come off the Jeep. But, when I'm heading up to the high country and rain (or snow) is a strong possibility, I put the half doors on and stash the window curtains in back, just in case.

I love it doorless as well.

Half doors are great for keeping splash out, and keep it warmer ...plus you can lean out and spot your tire easily with them.

I can see your approach making sense- The weather can change fast and dramatically in your part of the country.

Primed half doors with pvc plumbers primer- makes it stick - go light with itView attachment 537651

Eating out of the garden- can’t beat it

Gonna shoot the panels then
ride to Lake Guntersville, tea and crab claws on the water with another guy who rocks an awesome TJ.

How did the panel paint job work out?

Clutch went today ☹️. I think it may be just the seals on the master cylinder as the clutch pedal is rock hard…( unless somebody else has any other ideas what it could be)
I went to change from 2nd to 3rd and it wouldn’t come out of gear and the pedal went to the floor… now the pedal is very firm and will hardly move.

Just a swing and a guess here, but I'm thinking it's not the clutch master.
If the seals in the master went out the pedal wouldn't have gone from going to the floor to "will hardly move". That sounds more likely to be something mechanical related, the slave cylinder, throwout bearing , or the pressure plate.

ok crap ...I like my idea better haha

EDIT- Just reading through a couple other posts here and looks like somebody had a similar thing happen to them and it was the clip had broken that holds the throwout bearing to the clutch fork.....

Depending on how many miles you have on it, since you'll have to take it all apart anyway, (if that indeed is the issue) you might as well replace everything while you're in there.

I have around the 125,000.00 miles on it so far... Yeah I was thinking the same.... I may aswelll replace everything while its all pulled apart.

Half doors on.

You guys ever restore a set and wish you had just polished them and ran them?

I sort of wish I’d done that with these...just the cost, hassle and now the fine tuning when they worked great before.

Tell me about it... I bought a perfectly good set of halfies and could have run them as they were. I truly lost track of how much I spent to restore them. Maybe I am just suppressing the experience...

The uppers still don't fit right. I have a set of Bestop replacement skins in my sights but just can't justify spending any more money on these doors. Maybe over the winter...

Where did you come up with this idea?

Cool- love to see pics of your tools of choice Mike. Good stuff.
Prepped to do a polish of the ProComps.
Left to right.. Fritz PreClean (stuff is amazing), Flitz Ceramic Sealant, five sizes of polishing pads (Mother's deluxe buff, two small wheels and two Flitz wheels 6" and 3" ball) application brush, Flitz polish and die grinder.
Two micro fiber cloths that go in the garbage once done.

Guy on you tube …what sold me was he made paint stick to a Home Depot bucket. Be mindful it’s not for all plastics.

It works on doors, but the clear primer is easier to cover…I ll use that next time.

Exactly. I declare I went backwards in several ways.

Can you dig up a link? I have a HD bucket that I have to repaint black (storage bucket for camping that doubles as a porta-loo 🤪. With a liner of course). Would love to not have to repaint it so often.
