What did you do to your TJ today?

Got bored and since the rain stopped, thought I'd try out my new Milwaukee angle grinder and finally install the last Genright hood vent. You can feel the air coming out after it goes through the cooling stack.

Yes, my hood needs repainted. The crows feet have taken over.

Hope you get it back up and running Kiwi. Love seeing the pictures and outings you post.
Thanks and no not yet….it will need somebody with allot more talent and tools than I do to fix it.
I’ll be calling my mechanic today and see what he suggests.

Noticed the AC compressor cycling and things just weren't as cool as I thought they should be. So I...

... recharged it. My 134a can was a partial, so I had just enough for it to barely get into the green, but its ice cold now! It started about mid way through the red, and is the first time I've needed to recharge the system in the 4 years I've owned the Jeep.

Can you dig up a link? I have a HD bucket that I have to repaint black (storage bucket for camping that doubles as a porta-loo 🤪. With a liner of course). Would love to not have to repaint it so often.

Sure will

Guy was doing a “test” type video and oatey pvc primer won out

Cleaned up and swapped in some Sahara seats my buddy had sitting in his garage for years. Traded him a case of beer and a joint for 4 seats and some bumpers. He thought he had a rear seat but my original is in pretty good shape, and the vinyl will be easier with the toddler and dog.

Here are the originals:

Still a little damp in those pics, but man, so much more comfortable. The flip up frame and storage pockets are great upgrades. Hopefully next weekend I can do my bumpers!

I have had a few situations over the years-

When no money is forthcoming stop the job and then do what you have to do.

This isn’t just an ideal, there’s an old famous case where someone kept building a bridge after the other party breached (said they wouldn’t pay)…costly mistake.

I think this one will be OK or I would not have used so much of my own capital....just the customer having a fatal car wreck or something and it would be bad.

His estate would likely have to honor the contract, but it would still be annoying if they don’t play nice.

There is a rule to never let anyone owe you more than you are willing to lose... something to consider.

I understand that wisdom for gifts or favors, but not for contracts.

The Sahara seats are super comfy! It was the first thing I noticed after helping my friend get a TJ from a member who lived out of state. I’m still not over how much better they felt compared to my 2005 seats.

I think @AndyG is talking about something like this stuff, which has a ball shaped applicator brush attached.

Just don’t get it on your pinky finger like Andy did.

I went to a FMI Leadership course for a week at The Nature Place. I'll never complain about our paved county roads here after being there. Luckily I had a '24 Rubicon as a rental. It was amazing watching the sun come up every morning drinking coffee. The views are breath taking, literally. I couldn't hardly breath there. I'm used to my 400' elevation . My wife kept sending me pictures of home with it in the upper 70's and low 80's.

Hi neighbor. Im over in Jackson Co. Took the backroads between here in Hoosier National to Cambellsburg at cave river valley, spring mill and back through Salem just other day.. Love our scenic backroads here.

No worries.. it was more curiosity than anything else.

Yup.. Used it many times. Have a can in my shop. I was curious about the YouTube vid he mentioned. And, yes.. stains like a mother on anything it lands on.

That’s what he used in the video I posted above.
That was a video link? I was afraid to click on it...

Nice. I'm closer to Campbellsburg but have a Salem address. The backroads here are awesome. The wife and I go out driving all the time on date night, without the kids.

They are the Kentrol Hood Bumper Delete. My OEM bumpers were in bad shape so I grabbed these. I'm still figuring out what I want to do with the footman loop on the hood.

It does now. When I looked last two times it was one of those capture windows where you have to retype the squiggly letters to make sure you're a human.
