What did you do to your TJ today?

Drove it on some errands and listened to Broadway by the Goo Goo Dolls live in Buffalo, 2004. Have a habit of listening to one song over and over occasionally, like to learn the lyrics.

Love good live performances. That show was epic. Had a great day. Just felt terrific mentally and physically.

Got the 2.4 back in, man getting transmission to line up was a PITA. Put 5 quarts of break in oil in, primed the oil pump for 20 seconds (pulled the fuel pump relay) then started it.

Getting no oil pressure for some reason.. how long does it take for oil to drain to the pan? Either the sensor is bad, the pump is bad, or the oil level in the pan is too low for the oil pickup tube.

The dipstick is reading low.

Got the Daystar hood latches installed. Pretty easy. They hold way tighter than OEM... We'll see how long they last.

I just installed one of these too. It's so tight it feels like it's gonna snap setting it back on. Hopefully they loosen a bit in the sun

Dropped the tranny (not the human kind) and pulled the clutch/fly wheel off.

Not sure if I should get another national rear main seal or try to find a different brand. Might as well replace the clutch/ throw out bearing while it’s off.

Yep that shot confirmed my reason for getting a professional to tackle my clutch 😂. I know I would make a real pigs ear of it. Lol

took about 1.5-2 hours to unbolt everything and drop it. Separating the transmission from the engine was the hardest part.

I’m rather worried about assembling it all again just for the rear main seal to leak again 😭
