What did you do to your TJ today?

Just got a call from the mechanic… one of the bearings in the gearbox had mashed itself against the clutch fork.
Clutch kit comes with everything apart from a new fork… and of course nobody in New Zealand has one 🙄
So he is ordering one from the States…ETA 10 days… so the fix is gonna take longer than expected.

I’m sure if I lived in the USA I could probably pop down the road and pick one up.
At least when it’s done I will have many miles of trouble free gear shifts 🎉

Washed it.

I know i’ve shown this rig a lot recently- it stayed under wraps a while and in the background while I did my TJR.

I am happy to have it, and I know you guys know I’m not rubbing it in your face- most of you guys would be as happy as I am and I know you appreciate a good rig is all.

Senior moment of forgetfulness - did this hood have 5.9 ZJ vents?

Follow up to this post on Saturday.

Before installing this radiator and going back to the stock fan clutch, the temperatures without the AC would run between 200-210 during driving conditions and 195-200 when idling. With the AC on, it would run around 215-225 driving and 200-210 when idling. Not sure why it was backwards other than the Hayden 2791 clutch. I never ran the AC with the original factory fan clutch.

Drove the Jeep several times Saturday evening (top off) and the engine never got above 203; and that was only a single time at peak temperatures and idling in the drive thru. Yesterday I drove it several times with the top on and AC running and the temps always stayed in the 194-199 range when driving. When idling for extended periods of time, it would creep up to around 225, but once I got moving it quickly dropped back to the 194-199 range. The AC performance is greatly increased. I'm going to attribute that to the reduced under hood temps.

The picture below is how the temp was running this morning and how I got the temps above.

Tell me more about this please.

Hmmmmm. I’d sure like to see it with the body color matched trim rings.

I don't like chrome but left my headlight trim that way on my black grille. Maybe it's just a close enough match to my least favorite automotive color, Bright Silver Metallic to let them stay.

I went with black to match the black grille. The original ones were chrome, but I can see that body color might be good too.

It seems like those hex-head silver screws are just screaming out, "HERE WE ARE! LOOK AT US!!"

Well, haven't "done it" yet, but i just received shipment on a Tuffy brand rear trunk enclosure. We have a stock Jeep-branded insta-trunk that it'll be replacing - looking to maximize what we can store back there, and looking at the dimensions, we think it'll do a good job. Looking forward to the install when it cools down.

Also, been shopping the possibility of adding to the jeep fleet. :coffee::unsure:

Decided to park a little close to the garage wall forgot I leaned my half doors up against the wall…..
Now I have a nice crease in one of the doors from my front tire.
I did something similar, but less expensive to fix. I park my Expedition in the shop, tucked back in an area that demands attention while backing in. Earlier this year, I got in and started driving forward, out of the shop, when I heard a commotion. I got out and realized that my center console was on the floor in front of the Expedition, and now, it was shattered...

For about $100 eBay had me fixed up.

I feel for you, RocknLJ!
