Well, it was the cause of your failure and I’m not happy about it, nor sad or surprised. I don’t think it makes me USA proud or laugh out loud. I quickly thought about vomiting over it and the facepalm is way overused. So, I chose to get angry.
.
Thank you. Always looking for places in the NE. Is a state or local permit required?
Would you know any local dispersed camping spots?
10-4. Had to replace one before on my 2000, but it just wouldn't work intermittently. First time I've had one beep!
My 06 Dodge 2500 has beeped at me when I left the turn signal on too long. I can't say if I've ever had my Jeep do it, but I usually don't let my turn signals stay on that long. A flashing light on the dash starts to trigger a little OCD in me.
So you pay for a week long ORV pass and watch a quick 20 minute video on what to do when you get stuck , as for the camping spots not too sure
It was a bit over the top…
Years ago I got a permit to run Eglin Air Force Base down in Alabama. You also have to watch a 20 minute video to get the permit.
Apparently a lot of unexploded ordinance on the base. To get the point across, the video has a scene with a mother walking hand in hand with her little daughter through the woods, when a gigantic explosion obliterates them both.

Granted I got out of the Air Force in 2004 and haven't kept close tabs on things since then, but I didn't realize they had packed up Eglin and moved it from FL to AL.

I got lost on Ft. Knox several years ago and wound up in the tank training ground, in the middle of a live fire simulation. Luckily I wasn't driving. Removed the garbage Rugged Ridge protectors and put down Xpel on both sides. The RR protectors had water and all kinds of crud under them.
When it is time to swap back to the hard top, I'm going to do the tub rails.

I wasn't too surprised after I thought about it for a while. There is only 2 strips of double sided tape holding them on, leaving a gap in each end of them.I have the RR protectors, and like them although they could be about an inch longer. But "water and crud" underneath got my attention!
