What did you do to your TJ today?

yeah, been told that plenty. But the one time I had to back a trailer it didn't go well. But since then I've watched a bunch of videos and I'll have an opportunity to spend a few hours of low-pressure practice before we do this. I keep telling myself that a tiny % of the population can rebuild an automatic transmission, whereas seems like every jackass in suburbia can back their boat down the ramp....no way I can't do this. Just need practice.

Or just do this:

🙂

Remember move the wheel a little the trailer moves a little. Move the wheel a lot the trailer moves a lot!!!

Damn! That is frustrating!
Remember when counter guys were car guys too?
I actually had to explain left and right (on a car) to the data entry moron at the counter last week.
We have a few good ones at the O'Reilly and Napa. 100% of our Autozone and Advance folks are useless drones.

They're starting to remind me of Radio Shack employees...

Took a ride to keep testing my new sensors. I hate not trusting my Jeep and waiting for it to sputter, backfire and cut off again. It always happens in heavy traffic too. On a positive note, I saw a car I might trade my Jeep for IF I have to walk home again. Gotta love Southern ingenuity. I'm wondering if the homeless guy I saw the other day is living in it?

It’s easy to tell by looking. The 15 is dramatically smaller

It's pretty much the same size as all my TJs, and my friends'. I just filled it up, it was basically on E. It took every bit of 14.92 gallons. Odometer read 220, but with the wrong speedo gear I know that's going to read low. Google maps said I went 239. So ~16mpg. That last 1/4 went fast.

Also 239/220 = 1.08. 60mph * 1.08 = 64.8mph, which is pretty much what Waze had me at when I checked it.

Then I took the doors off all 3 TJ's and did what I've wanted to do since my daughter decided to buy a TJ. Which is take all 7 of us in the 3 jeeps to get Andy's. It was a silly bucket list item, but I'm not here to amaze anyone other than myself. I was a proud TJ daddy tonight.

My dad bought my 15 year old son a red TJ this past weekend. Now we have two.

It's in pretty good shape for a 23 year old jeep. The plan is to use it to help teach my son how to maintain a vehicle. He's excited about it. Also, it's very difficult to text and drive with a manual transmission.
