What did you do to your TJ today?

Drove to work with the top down thanks to some decently clear weather for once, then debated on wanting half doors for the 10 millionth time this week. Decided to look around and about had a stroke seeing the price for some white half doors…

Doesn’t even include inner panels, but oh you can buy another set for “$300” + $250 shipping…

So I just drove back home and took the full doors off for the week. Guess I have to keep looking, or say screw it and get the HighRock 4x4 doors and enclosures for half that price….

Ive been watching this one, but I cannot confirm the panel color nor can the seller. Is there anything I can take from the sticker on the door?

Id go look at it in person but its a little hike from where I am at currently.

Edit: Don’t let the gang know my jeep would be Panda mode of I do get these….

If you’re talking about the interior door panels, there easy enough to paint… LVP or SEM paints come in really close colors to match… I painted my half doors and the door panels myself…

Decide to take the plunge and re-gear the TJ

promise of better 0-60 times and more mpg per tank were to hard to ignore. Looking forward to an accurate speedomete .

I was going to check for gear pattern but just decided to send it..

Follow up post on project itchy scratchy.

Glazing putty applied to level off the glass work and reinforced filler

Three coats of catalyzed primer filler applied

Primer filler flat blocked with 400 grit to get the finished surface and detail

Final wash coat of primer filler after sanding (and I had it left over, waste not, want not...). Basically ready for final prep, sealer and paint at this point...well, that repair is...

Started texture testing on a test panel. I think it works as a base, but it's missing the larger somewhat random globs in the factory texture.

Got the JKS disconnects installed, sans the "parking studs" - I need to buy the appropriate tap to get those in.

I accidentally ordered the 2001 disconnects instead of the 2000. I was able to use the 2001 by the hair of my chinney-chin-chin! I don't think it would have worked if I didn't have the H&S springs, but as it is, the sway bar is at approx. 9 degrees, which is where its supposed to be.

I know this merchant well. I bought my halfies from him. He's a good guy but most of is stuff can be found for less if you're willing to search a little. I paid a fraction of that price and they were in outstanding condition albeit in flat black. I spent a ton to have them stripped and painted and the door cards dyed but all in I don't think I paid $2500..

I opted to have the door cards dyed instead of painting.. did my full door panels a few years and they are holding up fantastic.. Not nearly as cheap as a few rattle cans.

I wrote a guy on eBay to confirm if his asking price of $2599 for inners was accurate...and he said yes. lol

I just sold my white half doors locally for $500 they sat for many months.

I'd love to get my hands on some great looking khaki half-doors, but it's not looking good.

I'd be surprised if he charged me the same price..
I shipped a set of half doors from NY to CO for $70 per door.
I can connect with him and ask about khaki panels.

Thanks for the offer man, but I'm swapping my interior to dark slate gray soon. I should consider getting DSG inner full-door panels at some point.

I only have Savvy trail doors now as my half doors.

Complete half doors sell for $300-500 where I live, IF they ever sell. I rarely see another TJ when driving around.

Its very rare around my parts as well, only ones I have seen are my neighbor and some bone stock Rubicon LJs.

Its mostly mall crawler JK/JL owners with a duck pond for a dash... If i head out East or West, there are YJ and TJs everywhere, but not many are willing to sell their parts. The prices for half doors around here range from $750 to well over $1200.... Been tempted to just find a nice set out of state and fly there to bring them back if its cheaper than the local schmucks thinking they can get it for $1000 without door panels or completely rusted out.
