Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler TJ radiator

What did you do to your TJ today?

That's what my alternator looks like. Nasty!
Is there a good replacement or easy upgrade?
Qtec has Crown, Omix, and Mean Green.

Dodge Durango with V8 is a common upgrade for a 160A alternator. Stock - drops right in.

I went with this one:

Mine took a little massaging but a deadblow seated it fine.

You have to remove one of the ears off the alternator, too.

Noticed that the OEM breather cap for the front diff had started to crack and crumble apart. Replaced it with a Dorman breather.

Looks like it may be a little pressed down from shipping. Make sure it 'shakes' a little if you tap it so it is set to breath. If it's pressed down and the pressure rises, that cap could blow off. Should be like a top on a pressure cooker where it 'bobbles' or shakes a bit like it's loose.

This was the aptly-named Rocker Knocker @ SMORR from the weekend. Last time we were there this trail was impossible for us. This time we hit it from the opposite direction and reached a point where it was either do this or attempt to do a prior obstacle in reverse...its amazing what becomes possible when it is also necessary. Somehow only one of the Sami's took damage here. I had my doors off, or else I might have scraped. Regardless, this was a great trail. SMORR might be my favorite park I've been to.

This one isn't me, fyi. Just imagine it in Lapis Blue if you want to see me do it.

 
Axle back under, brackets welded, brake lines run still need to bleed but flipped calipers and e brake kit attached. Links remounted sitting at 99”. Added piece to rock sliders to match wheel well lines. Still a few things to finish up like EVAP stuff and numerous little tweaks. Then send stuff off to powder coat but may enjoy driving it again for a bit. Thankful for great friends with great skill sets. Need to have buddies shop cut some gussets for shock towers still but can see the finish line.

Little sneak peak, picked up from Powder coaters. As expected Mopar solar yellow fresh powdercoat not a perfect match to 18 year old mopar solar yellow paint. Wont win any Sema awards but still looks great. got to button up genright filler bezel and gas cap, then start on front. Poison spyder front fenders will be powder coated solar yellow as well, once we get coilovers in there.

I just prayed that it's still there when I get back. Left it in Tennessee while I'm recovering from shoulder surgery at home in Arkansas. There's a lot of jeep thieves out there.

I'm your brother on the shoulder surgery. It has been 4 years and at this point it has become obvious that it'll never be the same. I pray it's still there so you can at least drive it on the highway! The shoulder issues make me want an automatic sometimes...
