Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler TJ engine mounts

What did you do to your TJ today?

I replaced the battery in mine today. Used the wally everstart maxx flooded lead acid. 3 year replacement warranty, 800 CCA (it gets cold here!) as what it had was marginal, reviewed well by projectfarm.....and in budget. Time will tell...but it works right now !

Of course after install I "had" to take the core back for my $12 credit! Took the jeep of course......Man I like driving that thing.....

Not all today, but recent:

- installed a JBA ceramic coated exhaust manifold
- had exhaust after the pre-cats welded
- installed PSC gearbox (using Blaine’s instructions)
- replaced transmission pan that was dented in a good amount and swapped in a new Mopar filter
- Fully flushed the transmission fluid (the old fluid looked ok, but smelled burnt)
- re-installed the two A-pilar gauges (after sending them in for work)

The tranny runs much better and cooler so far.

Simple little change but it’s so much better than the standard shift knob. Drill and it threads itself on!! Now to figure out a way to do the same on transfer case!!

Last night but we got my son’s TJR into the operating room.
On the list;
Rockjock 4” springs, CA’s, track bars
Crown brake lines
BMB pads
Savvy MUA with engine skid
Rancho 5000’s
Ten Factory Chromo rear shafts (and front if @Drastic and I can get together)

That’s probably not all of it

Previously installed;
BMB body lift
Savvy cable shifter
MORE Bombproof 1” motor mounts

I’ll keep posting as it goes. I’m gonna just refer to this as Bens Deployment Build

I got rear-ended yesterday. The besttop bumper took it vey well but the tailgate got dented in by the spare wheel. I'll get the car measured this afternoon to see if there is any structural damage. the other car is a complete write of, bonnet, radiator, headlights, all crumbled together. hard to believe when I look at the jeep:

Good news - no structural damage. It's just the tailgate and the tyre carrier that is bent. I'll get that fixed tomorrow.
The TJ is a sturdy car :o)

Just got back from an impromptu camping trip. We went back to the Talladega National Forest and wanted to explore an area north of where we usually go. Gaia showed some forest service roads meandering around the area so we thought we could find a good dispersed campsite. Bad news is that there were no camping sites. The good news was that it got dark as soon as we entered the trail and we spent two hours crawling in between trees and through very deep mud holes for two hours. It was an epic night ride. So much fun. We ended up going back to a campsite along 600-1 and stayed there for two nights. Hiked a little of the Pinhoti Trail since it cut right through our camp.

Love it.

Get home safe Ben.

Installed Tuffy Speaker Lock boxes.View attachment 562764
Looks good. I wish they made them without the speaker ports. I'd take the extra space over the speakers.

Can you share a picture of them looking at the back of the seat? Curious if they would plan nice with the InstaTrunk.
I will second this request. I've been debating them but will not lose the Tuffy Insta trunk.
