What did you do to your TJ today?

I am OCD so I will do whatever I can to recreate the texture. It is going to drive me nuts for the next month with the filler like it is in the pictures. I just have other things I need to get done before finishing this.

This might give you some ideas on how to duplicate the texture:

 
I'm wanting to do it cheap (e.g. DIY) instead of taking them somewhere.

It's really no different than painting any other kind of metal. it would be best to have bare wheels, no tires or valve stems.
Degrease the entire wheel where you intend to paint, sand the surface down making sure to remove any clear coat or previous paint. Start with an adhesion promotor, primer, then paint. You can spray clear over the paint if you want to add extra layers of protection...

BTW price out all the product you'll need to by, then price out what it would cost to have them powder coated...
It might not be much of a difference.
 
John , are your front tires starting to cup ?

Yes just slightly, I am gonna rotate and balance them this week at work. Air pressure is probably slightly low at 24psi also.

You would think working at a tire store, I would balance and rotate more often.......
