What did you do to your TJ today?

Going along with the forgetful theme. I installed a Radioddity QT40 10 meter radio in my TJR today. It will be used as a am/fm/ssb radio though. Pictures tomorrow. The forgetful part is, I ordered a swr meter and 12" jumper to check everything and seemed to have misplaced or tossed the jumper some how 🤔 I've looked every where for the damn jumper, and I must have accidentally thrown it away with a Amazon box.

Here's some pictures of my install. Only problem is it interferes with folding the seat forward, although I removed the back seat shortly after accusistion.

Also, I found the missing swr jumper cable. It was on my bench under a piece of paper!! What the HELL?? So now I just have to work on adjusting the swr for the Antenna.

Today is my 6 monthly NZ inspection appointment....It's had new clutch, headlights , shocks and replaced the rear sway bar bushings since my last one plus I cleaned up my tow bar from rust (which they warned me about in my last inspection)...looking for a good pass ✅ today so grabbing my 4 leaf clover, lucky rabbits foot and a horseshoe just in case.;)

Woooohooo Passed inspection…all good for another 6 months

Today I unboxed new gear.

I figured if I'm going to chase P0301 and rough idle I'd might as well overkill the process.

Summit didn't play with the free shipping either. Ordered these Sunday afternoon, they arrived at my door today (Tuesday). Nice.

Keep us posted! Wish you the best of luck.

When my P0306 hit years back, I too went with a leakdown test. After scratching my head, I took off the valve cover and found the rockers weren't moving on cyl 6... Long story short - Cam replaced by the dealership for the OPDA gear issue, rounded off a valve lobe after 60k miles...

Sharing my experience to point you in a potential diagnosis direction if the leakdown doesn't get you what you need.

100% wish you better luck than my experience on the P030X code!

Your post is useless to me without food pics. I fixed that for you with my restrictive diet. ;)
p.s. I want pics of you next to an actual Hobbit. I will decide if you measure up.;)

If I ate that it would be nothing ‘ restricting’ it on its exit at the bottom end. lol ( would you like some more jalapeños with that )

oh my god - you poor bugger! I was fed up with that TÜV shit in Germany (every two years). SA is much better. No inspections at all. 😊

How do you get away with no inspections at all!!! That can’t be the same for all over Aussie can it ?

I really, REALLY don't want to pull the valve cover.

I've done some initial testing and think the cylinder 1 injector is either clogged or failing. It's within specifications on an ohms test, but when I pulled the connector with the engine running (and already running rough) it didn't get worse. Pulling the connectors on the others did cause more stumbling.

However, my hope is working through the process with gauges might give me a little more piece of mind.
