What did you do to your TJ today?

This was my 80’s cruising music…

I have a playlist called “Jeep Music,” and that is one of the tracks. Along with “Call Me the Breeze”, “Gimme Three Steps,” “Drinkin’ My Baby Goodbye,” “Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy,” and other classics meant for blastin’ with the top down.

I'm glad I'm not the only one 😆

I changed out my 42RLE trans pan for the one with a drain plug and a temp sensor bung soldered courtesy of Mr Blaine! It’s a good thing I got in there as one of the valve body bolts was stuck to the magnet and three more were well on their way to fall out. The only reason I think they didn’t is because the filter body was in the way! When torquing those back in, I checked the others and found four more that were loose.

Oh, and one of the prior owners/ mechanics apparently lost two of the pan bolts and put SAE threads into the metric trans body 😡.

All is better now.

I might have to rethink my playlist (or my therapist).

Quick, hopefully easy, question. On the ARB solenoid wiring, does polarity matter? I am not using their wiring. I'm fairly positive that it doesn't matter.
