What did you do to your TJ today?

im changing my bank 2 Sensor 2 and the friggen connector looks to be a PAIN im my neck and arms
ive used Blaster on the sensor for two days so im hopeful as the bank 2 sensor 1 backed right out with no problems

I mounted a 300 amp circuit breaker next to the battery and ran it straight off the battery with a custom piece of 1/8 inch steel to basically build a bus bar . Then on the fender well underneath the battery I mounted a 200 amp continuous duty solenoid that is operated by a switch in the dash that I installed just to the right and under the steering column .

You may already be aware of this, but your winch (Open Road 13000 lb, according to your profile) is capable of drawing more than twice the solenoid's rated continuous-duty capacity. From the manual for your winch:

The 300A breaker is under-sized, a bit, too. Using caution when you're pulling to avoid a prolonged, heavy pull would be a good idea.

The negative cable runs down from the inverter through a rubber plug in the floor and attaches to the frame underneath for a solid ground.

Here's a long thread discussing frame grounds:

You can skip to the end for Mr. Blaine's summation stating that we really don't know if the frame has a solid ground or not. There are some paths for current to move between body and frame, but there is no wire connecting the two, so you may want to switch to a body ground for the inverter or add a conductor between the frame and body.

Al 4 of mine came out without a hitch. I did remove the fender for ease of access.

Unless you've added a jumper, the frame is NOT a "solid" ground...

Went scouting for trash with the TJ. Found three dumped RVs in three completely separate spots.

Nothing sketchy about these logs that someone (not me, really...) threw across this washout.

Why so many people dump RVs like that up in your area Mac?

They do it everywhere. You're just not looking!

And boats. There was an abandoned boat in the middle of the Ocala Nat'l forest when wife and I were wheeling there. I've seen abandoned boats in all sorts of places. Of course, a favorite way to dispose of one is to sink it somewhere. Some reservoir out west dried up a few years back, a lot of boat owners were told to come get their boats...,

Man, I'd be happy to find an abandoned travel trailer, so long as it still had enough to scavenge from it... I'm thinking water tank, stove, fridge, generator, pop-out drive motors, etc.

Seeing Mac's examples , the only thing you would be salvaging would be fiberglass batts and broken Lauan .

All soaked in mouse and rat piss and shit with a side of black mold and whatever chemicals these asshats were smoking or cooking.

We've actually got an intact engine on an RV dumped on private property...squatter camp that popped up, land was sold, buyer "discovered" an 8 acre mess.

Was thinking of doing a will it run video and then cannonball it out of the back of the property to the driveway before we cut it up.

In CA we have too many homeless, you'd never find an empty abandoned RV or trailer, it would quickly be overrun by meth heads.

I noticed that when I was in LA last year…. You retire early if you had a shop just selling blue tarps.
