Both diffs have been drained and refilled. Thank the lord no signs of water in them.

Carpet is in the process of coming out and getting cleaned.

Going to completely clean the inside, the engine compartment and under carriage.

Still a great day on the trail with good friends!!!!!!

Looks like fun to me!

Have you raised the breathers?

I really need a 2 bay shop and suitable air compressor, I've still got my spray guns...

Since you have the skill set, do it yourself.

When you are ready to spray, go rent a self storage unit for a month and not worry about the fumes. You can make a suitable compressor from a harbour freight compressor and motor and use an old water heater for a tank. When done throw it away because it would only be a couple hundred bucks. Or check Craigslist or Facebook marketplace for a compressor.

A shop will be at least $500 and probably would not let you in the spray booth to ensure the texture is what you wanted. The top coat is the easy part.

I feel like I can chime in here, I recently bought some parts from @UND_Sioux and as I live in driving distance had the pleasure of meeting him in person. His LJ is great and I saw the top while I was there.

It wasn’t the main topic of discussion, so I didn’t go over it with a fine toothed comb or anything, but I thought it looked fantastic.

As a fellow black Jeep owner I mentioned that I had the front half of mine resprayed at one point. If I remember correctly, he told me about having his resprayed and having the top done like it is at that time. I hope I am remembering this correctly, but he talked about doing the top the way he did specifically because the body is black, and seeing it in person I totally agree.

So that’s a long way of saying I have seen it in person, totally digged it, and as an old school TJ purist, I think you wouldn’t go wrong at all if you do the same.

Thanks. Also did the inside of the top while it was painted. I thought the white just looked out of place. SEM Landau Black.

Did @AndyG skip that trip or did he swear you to secrecy with his no cell phone (death duck) clause in his new contract?
p.s. I love VA red clay mudding, but quit doing it after taking 12 hours to clean my Jeep on my last trip.

He was there, but was very quiet for some reason.

Oh and he didn't break anything this trip   :ROFLMAO:

For one, I drove it in today, because it's PATRIOT BLUE! And I felt pretty patriotic today. Also, put on my new BOH. For you autists, I'm putting all the Texas ones across the top by the Trail Rated, so the unbalanced (for now) presentation might trigger you. Lastly, new door straps because I had one fail.

Tom Woods Shafts arrived today and new rear axle retaining plates. Will press on the bearings tomorrow after work, wedding Friday night and Saturday we will ge “Bens Deployment Build” to test drive. Or at least that’s the plan. If all goes well exhaust shop next week and new tires mounted same time, they said drop it off when ready. Getting down to the wire deployment ends December (i hope)

This set we purchased offline and will be mounted and balanced at Paul’s Motors in Poughkeepsie. The guys there are top notch mechanics and “good ole boys” too. I never question pricing because I m always satisfied.
Cost aside I always the guys at the “Armonk Garage” were good people. They are close to you.
But if you need a large tire shop I just don’t know.

No shops around me will touch 35's, so I have no problems traveling to find a reliable shop.
