I was original plan is to build a trailer after my Jeep is ready for slow day trips to remote destinations as you are doing. May consider what you have going on top. My Jeep is set up to to be flat towed, it was towed behind a motor home by previous owner. I too, nothing to tow rig… yet. 😃

Yep,make sure you have a sway loc!,fully loaded it’s 5000 lbs!don’t even notice it with the s/l.yep,retirement sucks as far as money, would like to get a 24 ft motor home to pull it,but probably won’t happen soon.

It is a cool set up but after some after thought and your mention of a sway loc, with the 6” suspension lift, 3 point link rear the rig has, I will remain going with a trailer build, or better yet get a used trailer ready to go?

Yep I agree,a truck much less a trailer is a luxury we can’t do😒

Well didn’t do it as working too much but paid for Scorpion Off Road in Cleveland Tn to find and fix a vibration and the front differential bearings were shot so since that had to be opened might as well start somewhere and put in a elocker, new driveshaft and a real Sye- had a worn out hack and tap, new rear axle, and had bent a wheel and the spare was not the same set back. 2 new wheels mounted. No vibrations and found out we have 4.56 gears (build sheet 3.73 and most recent owner didn’t know much). Can’t wait to head out to the Cherokee national forest tomorrow. With the 4 inches of rain yesterday there should be a few opportunities to use the locker 😀😃😁

Picked up the TJ from the mechanic. Heater core replaced and AC recharged. Expensive fix. $150 for parts $750 labor..ouch I dont have a garage to work in and my health has been so so with the cancer treatments so I had to let the mechanics make the cash. Glad its done tho!!

That’s not to bad for labor actually in 2025. In 2018 I was quoted that from a shop for labor. I told them I was doing it myself but I was just curious what it would cost. I was just there to drain the Freon and setup having it reinstalled after the job.

Glad it’s done. Sometimes getting a trusted pro to just knock it out is the best plan.

I'd gladly pay $750 to change the heater core. If you've ever done one, it is very time consuming. It's not hard, but takes for freaking ever.
