My 16 year old son and I changed the oil, power steering fluid, transmission oil, and transfer case atf on my son's 97 SE while my 98 Sport watched. Now he will be able to do all those things next time.
yes two hinges per door..lol .all four aren't moving... might have to take it into a shop and see if they have any ideasNot to be a smart A but does it have two sets of hinges? Shouldn't be that tight for sure.
Removed the spare tire, tire carrier & bumpstops. I noticed something rattling back there while driving, wondered what it was. The tire carrier was hella loose. Not even hand tight, I'm surprised it hadn't fallen off. I like how it looks without the tire, and it could be my imagination but it feels like it handles better without it. No more rattle either, thats definitely what it was. Scratched the tailgate up a bit tho, but it cleaned up pretty nice. I also found out why my 3rd brake light didn't work, the wire was cut and taped at the contacts on the tailgate. So that sucks. I think I'll run no spare for awhile and see how I like it.View attachment 6101[/
Same here; removed mine and I like the way it looks so much I'm keeping it as is, for now. Does mine drive differently? Probably a little bouncier over bumps, but not enough for me to regret the move.

I mainly drive around town, if I go on a trip anywhere or wheeling I'd be sure to put the spare back on.
Not just today but over the past few days. MCE fenders with lights, new Synergy 4" springs to replace MetalCloak 3.5" springs, OME long travel shocks to replace Bilstein 5160s, new 15x8 wheels, 35" BFG M/T, weld on front LCA skids, c-gussets and Clayton rear lower shock mounts, HD ball joints, 4.88 gears, Ten-Factory shafts front and rear, UCF 3/8" alum TC skid, UCF 1/4" alum GT skid. Upcoming 1" MML to fix some fan shroud rubbing and either Currie or Synergy HD steering system. Then it will be ready for Rubicon and Moab trips next year.

I think my spare is the original 20 year old spare and it's the first time it's ever been removed. I was afraid the studs would snap, but it came off easy.
Hopefully these... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UTD76GY/?tag=wranglerorg-20 and not Synergy or Alloy USA.Which HD ball joints?
